Traditional Compost

Cutting’s Traditional Compost has been loved and used by gardeners since it was formulated by Mr James Cutting in 1932, and is an essential aid to successful gardening throughout the year. With its complex mix of fertilizers, soil improvers and organic matter making it rich in nitrogen, phosphate and potash it has been a standby for generations of gardeners to improve soil structure and all round fertility.

Derek Owen’s All Purpose Compost is one product we are particularly proud of as it’s the one product in our range that has direct competition with products from the DIY sheds. Originally developed to meet commercial grower’s stringent standards it is now one of our biggest sellers.

Ideal for all your seeding and potting requirements and creating stunning basket and pot displays, it is now a firm favourite in every garden.

Spring Green

Cutting’s Spring Green is a unique blend of high Nitrogen Fertilizers, Iron and Cornish Granite sand all blended into a finely milled black humus rich organic compost base. Because modern technologies enables fertilizers to release according to temperature Spring Green can be applied at any time and the nutrients will become available exactly as required i.e. as the soil warms up and plant growth begins.

Primarily designed for use on lawns it is also a useful product where it is necessary to dramatically increase nitrogen in the soil and with the added iron sulphate moss and broad leaf weeds are also kept at bay.

Autumn Gold

Cutting’s Autumn Gold is a high potash, slightly acidic top dressing formulated from light coloured young humus, composted manures and sugars. While the potash helps to enhance flowering for up to four weeks longer than usual on all species, its slightly acidic nature also means it is ideal to use on lime hating specimens such as rhododendrons, azaleas, blueberries and heathers.

Use for general manuring, digging in, and mulching as well as top dressing fruit and vegetable plots.

Delivery Information

Delivery will be made using an 18 tonne HGV with tail-lift (a smaller 7.5 tonne vehicle can be requested).
Goods will be delivered on wooden pallet (non-returnable). Please note: Only curb side delivery can be guaranteed – Carriers used will deliver as close to the property as access allows but they will be unable to move pallets over gravel or grass surfaces or up inclines or along paths.
